Partners in Canadian Veterans Rehabilitation Services (PCVRS)
No Fear Counselling is committed to being a trusted and compassionate therapy service provider for Canadian veterans. Our mission is to help veterans overcome mental health challenges and achieve their full potential.
What is PCVRS coverage?
PCVRS is a national contractor that administers the Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC) Rehabilitation Services and Vocational Assistance Program. The goal of this program is to provide veterans with access to a range of services, including psycho-social services. The program’s purpose is to address barriers in re-establishing post-service life for ill & injured veterans, as well as their families.
How can I access counselling through PCVRS?
Once you have successfully applied to the Rehab Program, your VAC case manager will collaborate with a rehabilitation service specialist to develop and monitor your rehabilitation plan. This will include referrals to various service professionals, including counsellors.
Services
At No Fear Counselling, we understand the unique struggles that veterans face, including PTSD, depression, anxiety, and other mental health issues. That’s why we provide specialized therapy services tailored to meet the needs of veterans, all through PCVRS.
Our team of qualified therapists are passionate about helping veterans, and we offer a range of evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR). Our therapists work with veterans and their rehab teams to identify their specific needs and goals, and develop a personalized treatment plan to help them achieve the best possible outcomes.
The length of therapy can vary depending on the individual and the nature of their mental health challenges. Some people may only need a few sessions, while others may benefit from longer-term therapy. Our therapists work collaboratively with veterans and their rehab teams to determine the best course of treatment for their needs.
Yes, therapy at No Fear Counselling is confidential. We take privacy and confidentiality very seriously, and we adhere to the highest ethical standards. We only share information with third parties with the written consent of the client, except in situations where we are required by law to disclose information (e.g., if a client is at risk of harm to themselves or others).
Your case manager will discuss counselling options with you and help you set up the first session for a day & time that works best for you.
