Julia works by integrating approaches, tools and practices rooted in a variety of healing modalities. She has studied psychology alongside religious studies with a focus on various mystical traditions, holds a master’s in counselling psychology, and has training in yoga and meditation facilitation. Her work is as informed by her training as her unique life experiences, which have taken her to depths that have continually expanded her capacity to understand, hold, and be in awe of the people she gets to work with.
Her approach is compassionate, creative, and relational. Always beginning by building a solid foundation to support, she works in a way that is intuitive and honouring of the pace, methods, and practices that best suit each human being sitting across from her. In her therapeutic work, she pulls from several different modalities and works primarily with Existential Psychotherapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, and various tools and practices of mindfulness and embodiment. Julia is continually inspired by what is alive in us in our darkest moments. Her ultimate intention is in supporting people back towards the wisdom and knowing that is always within us. To cultivate an atmosphere of possibility, where all expression and experiences are welcome.
