As a counsellor, Lindsay loves finding strength and resiliency in her clients. Her career in the realm of psychotherapy started with a few basic goals which have now become a part of who she is as a clinician: she wants her clients to feel safe getting vulnerable; she wants you to leave feeling understood and that you have had the time to explore your inner world, uninterrupted.
Before transitioning to private practice, Lindsay’s counselling career was focused in Residential Treatment for substance abuse, Restorative Justice for those incarcerated and working with parents and families of “At-Risk” youth. This knowledge grounded her awareness of trauma and how to work with complex individuals who have varying degrees of mental health needs. Her hope is to now tailor her diverse education to your specific requests and provide tools and resources that may alleviate hardship.
Salient to her strengths is her training in trauma, sexual and domestic abuse, substance use and repairing families after addiction. Lindsay is familiar working with men on issues pertaining to communication, anger management and criminality; parent and teens concerns and with conflict resolution/mediation and family counselling.
Lindsay enjoys working with couples and have knowledge with extramarital concerns, alternative relationships, sex and sexual desire. Other areas of focus are with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, low self -esteem, stress, workplace conflict and major life transitions.
She is free to answer any of your questions if you would like to know anything further before booking.
