Michal (pronounced ‘me-hall’) Ruhr is a practicum student completing her master’s degree in counselling through City University, and holds a BA and a BEd from Simon Fraser University. Having spent the last 15 years working in the field of education, she is passionate about working with and helping others get the tools they need to help them live the life they want.
Michal believes that overall health is made up of not just our physical health, but our mental and emotional health, as well. She understands how much vulnerability is involved in the healing process, regardless of whether it’s due to a short-term stressor or long-term trauma. Her highly empathetic and compassionate approach allows her to hold space for her clients in a safe and nonjudgmental manner. Whether you simply need someone to talk to or someone to assist you in learning strategies to help navigate life’s difficulties, Michal would love to support and work with you to create the kind of lasting change you desire.
