Sandy is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors and holds a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology. Sandy brings warmth and genuine caring to her work with clients, as well as compassion, curiosity and respect. She is comfortable in building relationships with her clients that help them to gain greater confidence and agency in their lives. Sandy has extensive experience working with adults and youth. She offers confidential, evidence-based, effective counselling to help clients experience greater self-worth, resilience, boundaries and peace of mind.
Sandy views her role as that of co-inquirer into the larger perspective of what is going on for her clients. Through deep listening, she is alert to noticing learned patterns and coping methods that may not be serving them. Some of those patterns may have come from unaddressed trauma, shame, grief or loss. Sandy helps clients to process and reframe their limiting beliefs. She supports them with symptom management and recovering hope that their lives can improve. Clients feel heard and understood as they release stress, expand their self-knowledge and move towards their goals.
