Yasaman Madanikia

Yasaman Madanikia, MA, RCC, is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) and Art Therapist. She also has additional training in Play Therapy from The Justice Institute. Yasaman takes a solution-focused approach with her clients, using a mix of various counselling modalities.

Over the past eights years, Yasaman has gained a diverse set of experiences working with children, youth, young adults and families through various organizations such as Children’s Foundation, North Shore Multicultural Center, Maxxine Wright Women’s Shelter, Children Who Witness Abuse and Southridge School.

Yasaman feels passionate about assisting her clients in areas of depression, anxiety, past trauma, insecure attachment, LGBTQ+ matters, immigration challenges, learning disabilities, parenting and complicated family dynamics.

Yasaman thrives to provide a safe environment for her clients to explore their lives in order to recognize the patterns that are no longer serving them and to start working towards positive change.

Yasaman believes that truly caring for clients and believing in them is the secret ingredient to any successful therapeutic relationship. Former clients have described Yasaman’s therapeutic presence as calm, nonjudgmental, transparent and caring.
