No Fear Counselling is a highly qualified, trusted and compassionate therapy service provider for WorkBC. Our mission is to help job seekers overcome personal & mental health challenges and achieve their full potential.

What is WorkBC?

WorkBC is a program funded by the provincial and federal governments that helps people find jobs, explore their career options, and improve their skills, along with a number of other career-related services.

 

Does WorkBC fund counselling?


Yes, WorkBC can refer job seekers to a registered clinical counsellor for up to 10 sessions. These sessions are to provide support in understanding & addressing underlying challenges that can be barriers to sustainable employment.

In order to access counselling through WorkBC, you must be referred by a case manager. People can find a case manager, as well as access a number of other resources, by visiting a WorkBC Centre location.

At No Fear Counselling, we understand the unique struggles faced by job seekers and those trying to navigate BC’s labour market.. Our team of qualified therapists offer a range of evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR). Our therapists work with individuals to identify their specific needs & goals and develop a personalized treatment plan to help them achieve the best possible outcomes.

Yes, therapy at No Fear Counselling is confidential. We take privacy and confidentiality very seriously, and we adhere to the highest ethical standards. We only share information with third parties with the written consent of the client, except in situations where we are required by law to disclose information (e.g., if a client is at risk of harm to themselves or others).

Once we have received a referral from WorkBC, our intake staff will reach out to you to discuss which of our counsellors may be a good fit and help get your first session set up.
